Are you an experienced sustainability or global development expert with a solid understanding of corporate HREDD work? Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence (HREDD) work at the global Fairtrade network is expanding, and we now look for a Business Partnership Manager to a permanent position. The Manager will lead the development of Fairtrade’s new HREDD related services for commercial partners, supported by a solution-oriented, agile team at Fairtrade’s Centre of Excellence for HREDD. The Centre leads the development of Fairtrade’s systemwide HREDD-related business services, advocacy work and internal policies and processes. Fairtrade system consists of some 30 organisations around the world. Type: Permanent position. Location: Helsinki/Finland. Possibility for a flexible distance work agreement. Reports to: Lead of Fairtrade’s HREDD Centre of Excellence. Application closing date: Monday 28 February. Starting Date: As soon as possible. What you’ll bring Experience of planning company-NGO partnerships Experience of coordinating or supporting corporate HREDD-related work Demonstrated understanding of HREDD and human rights-based thinking Experience of planning and managing projects “Yes we can” attitude to work with demonstrated capacity for balancing between competing priorities and problem solving Presentation and facilitation skills, excellent English language skills (spoken and written) At least basic skills in Finnish language Desirable Experience of developing new service or business models Familiarity with Fairtrade or other sustainability certifications Experience of working with global teams Experience of working with smallholder farmers or other vulnerable rightsholders University degree, or equivalent higher education qualification, in a relevant field with an interest in sustainability Spanish or French language skills What we offer We offer you a position at the cutting-edge of sustainability work, developing novel services and tools that support companies in complying with the upcoming corporate responsibility laws.
